Rap Nostalgia: Sony/Legacy Re-Releases The Best Of Hip-Hop

It was bound to happen: someone was going to find a new way to package up and resell the iconic R&B and hip-hop of the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. You know, the stuff from Big L and Aaliyah and The Fugees and Nas and Ciara (pre-Russell Wilson, of course.)
That “someone” is Certified, a new-ish imprint created by Sony Music Entertainment/Legacy Records that draws heavily upon the 15th and 20thanniversaries of iconic songs and albums – and previously undistributed singles and outtakes  by groups that created the soundtrack of everyone’s Gen X and Y lives.
